Core Hour sign-ups begin on Tuesday, May 15^th with an opportunity to spend next year with our children during the lunch and recess hour.  Parents please look over your schedule for the coming school year and consider committing yourself to oversee one of these essential roles. 

Rivendell’s Core Hours are comprised of Lunch and Recess duty (11:30-1:00 each day), Office duty, and duties that take place during the Drop-off period (from 8:25-9:05).  Keep your eyes open for Core Hour sign-ups for Office and Drop-off duties over the next few weeks.  A link to the Sign-up Genius site can be found under "For Parents" (on our homepage) beginning Tuesday morning, May 15^th.  Begin by clicking the “For Parents” dropdown menu and then click on the “Sign-Ups” page.   Job descriptions for each of our Core Hours duties, and the number of slots that remain to be filled can also be found on this page.

Teachers are currently in the process of creating class lists for next year.  Much prayer and many counselors are part of this yearly process, and we elicit your prayers as well.  If you have significant feedback to pass on about your child's placement we ask you first to read through the article entitled "Rose Colored Classes" (click here to read).  Then if you feel the need to convey information about your child, please address the Headmaster and not the classroom teachers.  Most importantly, please pray for our teachers that they will have wisdom and that we parents will have confidence in God directing this process.
